Snowman Tic Tacs

The first new teacher meeting of 2013 will be held this afternoon and I found an adorable treat for them here.  They were really easy to make and very inexpensive as well because I already had all of the materials and tools needed.  I just had to buy the tic tacs (I found four-packs of tic tacs for $2.50 at Walmart which saved me quite a bit).  Can't beat that!
Cut a 3" X 5" piece of blue cardstock.  Use a corner rounder punch to round all four corners.  Cut a 2 3/4" X 1 7/8" inch piece of white cardstock and round two of the corners.  Cut 17" of ribbon and place it where you want across the top of the blue cardstock.  Adhere the white piece on the right side of the blue piece (on top of the ribbon), matching up the rounded corners.  Punch a 1" circle in the bottom center of the white piece.  This will enable the tic tacs to show through.
Punch two 1" circles out of white cardstock and adhere them as shown to create the snowman.  Cut a nose out of orange cardstock and adhere.  The original used a tiny circle punch to create eyes out of black cardstock but I found that to be incredibly tedious to glue so I just used a sharpie to draw the eyes.  Fold the blue piece like a book and adhere the tic tacs to the inside.  Then tie the ribbon in a bow on the side.
I think they are pretty darn cute!  They would be a fun little treat for anyone who might be suffering from the winter blahs.  Have I mentioned that it is freaking cold where I live right now?
Give them a try!
